Sign My Petition: Enact the PROTECT Act!

New York is the only state in the nation that does not allow courts to consider public safety when determining if a defendant should be released, or be held in jail, before their trial. This has allowed individuals with a high likelihood of reoffending to be put back into our communities causing an increase in violent crime. We must act now to keep our children and families safe by enacting the Pretrial Risk Overview for Threat Evaluation, Custody, and Treatment (PROTECT) Act.
